In the dry riverbed of Arakawa River, undefeated elite Ichinomiya Kou (aka Rick) met the lovely homeless girl Nino, a self-declared Venusian. Their awkward love stirs up trouble among the other strange inhabitants of the riverbed.

Kenn's Comment: Yeeessss!! You can never have too much Arakawa. It's such a great and awesome series. Nakamura Hikaru (mangaka) is a genius! Or has a loose screw or two, as her series are always really, really zany (take Saint Onii-chan for example). Luckily for us all, SHAFT just happens to have a rather eccentric director in the form of Shinbo. It'll most likely continue wherever the first season left off, and introduce more of the residents under the bridge.
