Probably a love-hate manga. You either love it or hate it. Kind of like Durian. Or Natural's posts.
Speaking of those, it'd be really helpful and appreciated if you could leave him comments and criticism. Need to dial in on what works, and what doesn't. No 'you suck' comments please.
Title: イキガミ, Ikigami, Ikigami - The Ultimate Limit
Author: Mase Matoro
Genre: Seinen, Drama, Mystery
Serialized in: Shougakukan Big Comic Spirits, Young Sunday
Total Volume Count: 7 (ongoing)
Summary from MangaUpdates:
Kenn's Comment: Sitting down and trying to read up to the latest chapter in one sitting would probably be a bad idea. It's episodically structured, so you can pretty much just read each arc separately. It's a tad bit hit and miss. Some of the stories really tug on your heart strings, whereas others don't quite have as much impact. Can't remember which ones exactly were the best at the moment. The japanese government has launched a brand new law: because of the lazyness and apathy of Japan's people it was decided that someone, daily and randomly, will be chosen and killed with a poisoned capsule in order to "bring to life again" and wake up the others.
The person elected will be warned with an イキガミ (ikigami , or death's notice) and after this he/she will have only 24 hours left to live.
What will those condemned think and do during this short time?

Yay! Much love for Ikigami <3 I've been following it since it came out on onemanga.com
ReplyDeleteIt kinda gets repetitive at times and there's total Judaism in the last chapter but at least it'll make it more interesting.
Def a good read.
