SAFE!!

A tad bit late, but it's better late than sorry. Running out of stuff to put up. Haven't been reading much manga lately. =3="

Title: スケッチブック, Sketchbook
Author: Kobako Totan
Genre: Shounen, Comedy, Slice of Life
Serialized in: Mag Garden Comic Blade
Total Volume Count: 6 (ongoing)

Summary from Wikipedia:
Sketchbook revolves around a group of high school students who are members of the art club at their school. The plot follows a slice of life style via the students' experiences at school through the club. The main character is a young shy, and quiet girl named Sora Kajiwara who goes through life at her own pace. She tends to look at the little things in life, and is often at awe of the more simpler things. Sora knows several stray cats around her town and has given them names.
Kenn's Comment: A lot of people hate this series. They say it's utterly boring and it's art is terrible. They probably are the kind of people who read Bleach, Naruto and One Piece and say they're otaku and addicted to manga. They probably would've said the same thing about Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou and Aria. Sketchbook is very much like these series. Everyday life. It's a very relaxing series to read, and the anime version of it was equally as entertaining a relaxing. It's humour is often lost in translation, with puns and stuff not being able to be properly translated.

In the end, the series is probably not for everybody. Those who liked YKK and Aria should try this one out.
