Manga of the Week - 増殖少女プラナちゃん!

Sunday, June 27, 2010

Posting a bit early again because I don't think I'll have time later today.

Title: 増殖少女プラナちゃん!, Zoshoku Shojo Plana-chan! Growing Girl Plana-chan!
Author: Haruse Hiroki
Genre: Shounen, Comedy, SciFi
Serialized in: Akita Shoten Champion Red
Total Volume Count: 0 (ongoing)

Summary from MangaUpdates:
Think Yotsuba but with a planarian*/human mutant four-year-old girl instead of one with green hair.

(*a planarian is a kind of non-parasitic flatworm organism)
Kenn's Comment: Read Yotsuba&! while doing shrooms and Angel dust. Yep, that's pretty much what you'll get . Jokes aside, this manga is similar to Yotsuba&! in that you've got a young child ignorant of the ways of the world, and getting into zany situations with her caretaker. People who liked Yotsuba&! will probably be okay with this series. Those who, god forbid, hated Yotsuba&! will most likely not like this. The manga just recently started serializing so I wouldn't make too many judgements yet.
