Don't know anything about the series other than the fact that the light novels are bloody massive.

Title: 境界線上のホライゾン, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere
Animation Production:  Sunrise
Genre: Action, Fantasy
Airs: 10/01 26:58 MBS
Website: http://genesis-horizon.net/

Series Summary from ANN:
Set in a distant land, Japan is divided into feudal territories, yet conquered by outside countries, the city Musashi that will ignite the flame of battle is being targeted and has no choice but to keep its people safe by entering this war, with the fate of the world resting on its hands, the students of Musashi may hold the key to victory.
Kenn's Comment: From what I've read about it, 12 episodes really doesn't seem like it'll do the story any justice, unless Sunrise has already planned to make this a multiple cour series. Considering 7 of Horizon's novels are equivalent to at least 16 or so of Index's novels, unless the Sunrise team cuts significant portions of the story (or makes up their own), they're not going to be able to do this easily. The PV had plenty of action scenes, so I'm hoping this doesn't turn out like Infinite Stratos did, where the PV had plenty of action scenes, but they were fairly sparce in comparison to the actual series. Plus Ichika was a blazing idiot. And Charlotte was clearly the best one there. And Ichika was didn't have a brain. Cursed Ichika. Charlotte's mine now. Loserface..

That being said, I'm not sure what will happen with this on. Let's just hope for the best.

  1. I'm confusing, ANN has that summary while AniDB has another different one, which one is real ? Also i prefer AniDB's solely for the fact "set in Japan high school whatever" is getting stupid, is like Japanese can't think of anything involve massive group activities that not highschool one.

As long the main char isn't some bloody idiot douchebag, which he looked anything but in the PV, i totally buy the fighting s. Mecha vs magic vs scifi-kungfu ? Its freaking Rising Force: The Anime and i love it!

  2. Yeah, now that I think about it, the summary on ANN does sound kind of off. Go with the AniDB one. Makes it sound cooler. Not sure how the ANN one ended up like that...

  3. Found some new information. Both ANN and AniDB have the right idea. ANN's doesn't exactly paint the series in the best of lights, while AniDB makes it a little over dramatic. Either way, if you were to put them together, it'd likely be the perfect description. Let's just say the setting is...unique.
