The Japanese are a fearsome people. They can take the worst of insults and make it into a very moe-some character. Can you think of any other people who can take insults like that?

Title: HAKUMEI
Producer: Onigashima
Genre: J-Pop
Vocaloid: VY-1 'MIZKI'

Kenn's Comment: I know I never did a post on VY-1. There's good reason for it. She's It's the product of bplats, and is the only Vocaloid to date that doesn't have an official image character. It's meant to be used by professionals in the music industry, and comes with a high quality voice bank, which is a bit feminine despite being a voice bank capable of doing both male and female voices.

Anywho, the character that shows up in the video is Hinimoto Oniko (日本鬼子). The characters in 日本鬼子 are typically used by the Chinese when talking shit about the Japanese. Translates to something like Japanese Devils. If you're Chinese or know anything about Chinese, than you probably know that adding 'devil' or 'demon' to the end of any other race or nationality instantly makes it into an insult. I remember my mom calling a hockey player a 'white demon'. Anywho, the denizens of 2ch decided to take the Chinese insult and make it into an awesome character. And that resulted in Hinomoto Oniko. Using the same characters, 日本鬼子, they had it read as Hinomoto (Origins of the sun) Oniko (...well 'ko' is a thing you tag to the end of something to make it into a girl's name)
